Spring Internship

We have openings for internship available to horticulture students. Experience the nursery and greenhouse in all its Spring glory during peak season. This is an ideal time to gain the greatest understanding and knowledge of operating a wholesale nursery and greenhouse. Spring is the season when the most important and greatest variety of processes occur. The intern will start in January with propagating cuttings and seed of annuals, perennials, herbs and vegetables. February the emphasis begins to shift to planting for finished plant production, which includes everything from cell pack and 4″ containers to hanging baskets. April begins the mad house, interns will help fill customer orders and understand the logistics of getting product to customers. The intern will experience many other facets of operations at an active wholesale nursery and greenhouse depending on interest, talent, and need.

Successful candidates will have an enthusiasm for floriculture, an eagerness to learn new things, an ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment, detail oriented, able to follow instructions and established processes, and be flexible.
